The ULTIMATE Peach Cobbler Smoothie!

Morning smoothies are always so refreshing and energizing, I find them easy to get hooked on! In fact, the hubby and I spent almost a year enjoying nothing but banana date smoothies every morning. It’s true! We bought bananas by the case (alright, we still do…) and bought dates through mail by the pounds (we don’t buy quite as many of these anymore, but still love them!) just to ensure we didn’t run out of our goods.

But nowadays we enjoy mixing things up a bit. After all, there are too many tasty fruits and vegetables out there to stick with just a couple. Imagine all the melons, citrus, and berries we missed out on during those banana and date years. Ah well, I wouldn’t trade my love affair with those banana date smoothies for anything. :P

Anyway, yesterday Ben brought home about a dozen beautiful peaches, which to me is better than a bouquet of flowers any day. We ended up eating half of them right away, but I managed to save the rest for breakfast this morning. I don’t know about you but I love peach pies and peach cobblers so I figured if I could mimic those flavors in a smoothie, it would be pretty darn good.

Boy was I right! Here we have the ULTIMATE peach cobbler smoothie that’s great and fulfilling as is, but would probably be excellent after being put in the freezer for a few hours. Give it a try! Here’s what you’ll need for each serving (add more peaches and bananas if you need more calories):

1 cup water
2 bananas
2 peaches
2 medjool dates
2 brazil buts
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cardamom

Start by placing the peaches, dates, water, and brazil nuts in your blender and pulse until everything is combined and starts to break down. Next add your bananas and spices then blend the ingredients on high until everything is nice and creamy. Enjoy!
